º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ CRM project wins IT Benchmark Award

20 March 2019: A º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ project dedicated to enhancing the student experience has won Best Education Project at the 2018 iTnews Benchmark Awards.

The º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Student 360 Customer Relationship Management project has simplified the tertiary environment for students, developing a ‘one-stop-shop’ for student support and a ‘360-degree view’ of a student’s interactions with the University, allowing staff to better tailor their support to the needs of students.

To deliver the project, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ used Microsoft Dynamics 365 Online to enable student support services, case management and automated marketing channels, resulting in increased student engagement and a more seamless experience.

Deputy Director of DITM projects, Rebecca Armstrong, said the project has vastly improved the experience for students and staff.

“º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Student 360 has automated hundreds of workflows and moved processes online so students can focus their time and effort on their studies, instead of the administration that comes with attending university,” Ms Armstrong said.

Since its inception, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Student 360 has managed almost half a million cases and sent over 1.3 million tailored messages to users.

“Feedback from teams at the University has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly in regard to exposing the right information to help support student enquiries and providing proactive messaging,” said Ms Armstrong.

Ray Fleming, the Microsoft Higher Education Lead, said the acknowledgement reflects the journey that º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has been on over a number of years.

“Microsoft Australia is excited and pleased at the news of the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s recent win for Student Engagement at the 2018 iTnews Benchmark Awards,” Mr Fleming said.

“We're pleased that we've been given the opportunity to be the key technology partner for this project, and for the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ to be a leading-edge example of using AI technology to improve student services,” Mr Fleming continued.

Rebecca Armstrong is available for interview.
