The º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Medical and Counselling team have created a free, 6 week ‘ACT for Anxiety’ group program to help º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ students experiencing difficulties with anxiety. The ACT for Anxiety program aims to provide skills and strategies to better manage anxiety and improve day-to-day life.
Based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this program helps students to accept what is out of their control and commit to actions that improve and enrich their lives. ACT does this by teaching skills to deal with painful thoughts and feelings effectively, and helping to clarify what is important using that knowledge to motivate you to create positive change.
To participate in this group, you need a referral from a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ psychologist or GP. You can book an intake appointment by contacting º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Medical and Counselling reception on 6201 2351 or book via .
