A university pathway program

If you’ve recently finished Year 12 in Australia or completed a Certificate III but don’t quite meet the entry requirements of your preferred º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ degree, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect will build your skills and prepare you for future university study.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect is a pathways program that helps bridge the gap between your current academic qualifications and the entry requirements of the course you’re interested in studying. So, even if you’ve recently missed out on a university place because you didn’t meet the required ATAR, this bridging program can help you gain access to a university education.

If you’re over the age of 21, you may be eligible to gain alternative entry to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ via our º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Prep pathways program.

The º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect bridging course program has been developed by the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ together with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ College for recent school leavers who’d like an alternative pathway to studying an undergraduate degree at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. When you’ve successfully completed the program, you can apply for admission to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.

With º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect, you’ll develop the skills you’ll need to succeed at university by studying four preparation subjects:

  • Humanities
  • Analytical methods
  • Academic techniques
  • Numeracy and digital literacy.

These units will prepare you for university life by helping you:

  • develop critical and analytical thinking skills
  • learn to solve mathematical problems
  • develop academic writing and research skills, including referencing
  • collect, organise and analyse information to the expected academic standard
  • explore a range of technologies you’ll use at university
  • develop verbal and written communication and presentation skills, both in groups and individually
  • develop social, emotional and wellbeing skills for coping with academic study at university.

The full-time º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect study program is nine hours per week for 16 weeks, which is equivalent to an EFTSL of 0.50. The course runs for 18 weeks in total, which includes exams and a break.

To be eligible for a place in the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect program, you'll need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian Permanent Resident, and have completed either:

  • an Australian Year 12 qualification with three passes in academic subjects
  • an ACT Year 12 certificate with a C grade average or
  • a Certificate III qualification.

If you don't meet these eligibility standards, but can prove your likelihood of success, you can apply to attend an interview and present your case to our admissions panel.

The program runs multiple times throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to enrol and complete it ready for the start of the next University teaching period.

How to apply

To apply for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect you’ll need to:

  • complete the online application form at
  • upload all relevant certified documentation, such as your birth certificate or Australian passport, and academic transcripts, as requested on the form.

If you’ve been in Australia for less than two years or if your first language isn’t English, you may need to attend an interview.

Offers for entry to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ degrees following successful completion of your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect program will be dependant on your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect assessment results. You may also need to meet a series of inherent requirements to successfully complete your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect bridging course.

Please note that not all º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ degrees are available to study through the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect program, as some require a higher entry score than can be achieved through our Pathways programs.

Contact º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ College if you’re considering studying the Bachelor of Midwifery as a supplementary application form may be required.

Australian and New Zealand citizens or Australian Permanent Residents are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Enabling place for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Connect. It’s considered an enabling course and the Australian Government will cover your entire program fee.

All students need to pay a Student Services and Amenities Fee.
