The National Centre for Australian Children's Literature (formerly Lu Rees Archives) holds a range of material related to authors, illustrators, publishers and critics of Australian children's literature. .

Author and Illustrator Research Files

As part of our service to researchers, the National Centre for Australian Children's Literature (formerly Lu Rees Archives) collects materials about authors, illustrators, publishers and critics of Australian children's literature. With these materials we create research files. These files contain items such as articles, reviews, publicity material, transcripts, biographical and bibliographical notes, artwork and manuscripts. In total, there are 30 categories of materials that we try to collect on authors and illustrators.

The information collected is arranged into 30 categories. A list of Item Types of the material we collect for research files is  available.

Contents Sheets

We have arranged and described the contents of some of the Author/Illustrator Research files files using Encoded Archival Description. Some of these Contents Sheets have been made available on this website as Guides to Research Materials.

Finding Aids

Finding Aids are available for a number of authors and describe papers donated to the Centre. See Finding Aids for a list of authors and the finding aids are available in PDF format.
