Connecting 18 to 30-year-olds in Belconnen and Bruce
Connect Up 2617 is a local initiative developed by and for Belconnen and Bruce communities to help 18 to 30-year-old residents to meaningfully connect, create and share experiences, and develop a sense of belonging.
This project is run by the Health Research Institute and funded through the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

From October 2024 – October 2025 (12 months), Connect Up will provide opportunities for 18 to 30-year-olds living in Belconnen and Bruce to meet new people through our diverse program of free local activities. The program will grow as we go so keep checking this site.

Our eight Connectors are a passionate and diverse group of young people living in Belconnen and Bruce. They have the awesome job of connecting you with a range of free local activities, and also with each other. Life is better when you’re connected.
- Free weekly badminton: every Wednesday from 4.30 to 6.30pm at Belconnen Community Centre
- Dig It summer sessions: every Tuesday 4 to 6pm at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵX Community Garden until Tuesday 17 December, which will be our holiday special with free food and music!
- 10 x $10 free social lunch: every Monday 12 to 1pm at Oscar's Bakery Cafe
- Social strolling and free coffee by Lake G: every Monday from 10.30am to 12.30pm, starting at Stella's by the Lake
